JILI’s page calls it Bombing Fish, and the search box calls it bombing fishing. The thing to understand before the first bullet is the second layer of water: some fish only a particular bullet can reach.

The two layers

According to the page, one bullet type is for fish swimming in the first layer, while the other is aimed at the elusive creatures down in the second. Regulars do watch which layer a high-value fish swims in before they fire, because a shot of the wrong type is a stake with no target. New players often fire one bullet type at everything and wonder why the second-layer fish never react.

1. Find the fish you want and note its layer.
2. Switch to the bullet type that reaches that layer.
3. Fire, and use the locking torpedo if the game offers it for that fish.
