Live Roulette: French, American, Speed and Lightning Wheels

Roulette looks like one game, but a live lobby deals four or five different tables under the same name. Two small things set them apart: the zero count on the wheel, and whether the round carries extras. Here is how to tell the tables apart before a single chip is down.
How Live Roulette Works Round by Round
Every round follows the same cycle:
- A betting window opens and you place chips on numbers or groups.
- The dealer launches the ball, and when the window closes no more bets are taken.
- The result is paid, and the cycle repeats at the pace the table sets.
Regulars do: read the layout for the zeros before they read the limits. New players often assume every wheel is the same and are surprised that the pay on the same bet is not.
The Wheels: French, American, Speed and Lightning
| Table | What marks it | Figure from Evolution |
|---|---|---|
| French | A single zero and La Partage | Single zero |
| American | A double zero | Two zero pockets |
| Speed | A shorter round | 25 seconds spin to spin |
| Lightning | Lucky Numbers with multipliers | 1 to 5 numbers at 50x to 500x on Straight Up |
The small detail: Lightning multipliers apply only to Straight Up bets on the struck numbers. A bet on a colour or a dozen does not share in them.
Roulette Tables: What to Expect in the Lobby
The phone build’s Live entry and its Evolution label point to tables of this kind, but the roulette tables on offer and their limits are visible only after sign-in. This guide cannot list which of the four wheels a given account sees. The studio’s range is on the Evolution studio page, and a table-by-table check on the lobby settles the rest.
Roulette Online: Pace and the Spin Count
Spaced 25 seconds apart, a Speed table deals about 144 spins an hour. Even a standard table moves faster than most newcomers expect. Count spins, not minutes, and stop on the number. For a slower game with a fixed seat count, see the live blackjack page.
Mistakes at the Wheel
- Playing an American table by habit from a French one. The extra zero is in the layout, and the pay is not the same.
- Expecting Lightning multipliers on outside bets. They apply to Straight Up bets on the struck numbers and nothing else.
- Treating a Speed table as a standard table with a shorter wait. It is the same wheel asking for a decision every 25 seconds.
- Spreading chips over so many numbers that the total stake is larger than the limit set for the session.
Regulars do: total the chips on the layout before the window closes. The small detail: the table shows the running total of your bet, and that figure, not the number of chips, is the one to check.
Before You Place a Chip
Sign in first (login before you place a chip), and read the limits panel on the table you choose. You must be 21 or over. As for money, the wallet apps ended in-app gaming in August 2025, so use the casino GCash page before a wallet top-up before you assume the money will reach the table.
No RTP is printed by Evolution for this game, so this page quotes no return figure. A neighbouring live game with a single decision per round is described under baccarat rounds with one decision.
How to Get Started
-
Identify the wheel on the table name
French, American, Speed or Lightning. The name tells you the zeros, the pace and any multiplier feature.
-
Read the rules panel for the zero
A single zero with La Partage is the French layout. A double zero is the American layout and changes the odds.
-
Decide spins, not minutes
A speed table can run 144 spins an hour. Set the number you will play and stop on it.
