Sports Betting: Five Markets, the Age Rule and What PAGCOR Licenses
By PH90 Editorial Team
- 21+, no exceptionsRegulars treat 21 as the floor for casino play under PAGCOR's rules, and keep these links away from anyone younger.
- Buttons lead to 76JLWhichever of PLAY NOW or REGISTER NOW you tap, 76JL loads; neither one opens a PH90 screen.
- Checked against public noticesAge, wallet and limit points come from PAGCOR's published lists and the BSP's e-money notices.
Sports betting here means a bet on a match result, and the rules around it are narrower than people expect. Before the first market, two things decide whether you can play at all: your age and the operator’s licence. The PH90 phone menu lists Sports and E-sports tabs, so those are the two this hub plans for.
Sports betting rules in the Philippines
PAGCOR’s Electronic Gaming Licensing Department licenses offerings one by one. Sports Betting is one of them. Its page adds that the online side of an operator is an adjunct service to a licensed gaming venue, open to registered players only.
| Rule | What PAGCOR says |
|---|---|
| Minimum age | Under 21 may not play on any online gaming platform |
| Barred groups | Government officials, AFP and PNP members, restricted-person listings, licensee staff |
| Licence check | PAGCOR’s two brand-and-domain lists and its checker site |
| Help line | National Problem Gambling Helpline, (02) 8248-9568 |
The small detail: an operator can be on a list under a different brand name, so match the domain you type, not the logo you see.
The five guides
Each guide takes one question and answers it with a worked example, so none of them promises a result.
- NBA betting: moneyline, spread, total and player markets, plus why the games land in the morning in Manila.
- Boxing betting: winner, method and round markets, and the draw problem.
- Esports betting: match, map and handicap bets, using Mobile Legends as the example.
- Football betting: 1X2, handicap and totals for a 90-minute match.
- Betting odds explained: decimal and Hong Kong odds turned into payouts.
Regulars do read the odds page first and the sport page second, because a market name means nothing until the payout maths is clear.
What the lobby shows
The phone menu read on 5 November 2026 carries two entries, Sports and E-sports, and neither shows a match list, odds or limits to a signed-out visitor. Regulars find out what PH90 opens in three moves:
- Get into your account login first, on a mirror from the door page.
- Open Sports or E-sports and note which leagues and match types are listed that day.
- Before you type an amount, find the stake limits in the market’s rules, or ask the 24/7 live chat.
New players often assume the markets in a guide are all on offer. They are explanations of how markets work, not a menu.
How a first bet goes
The path is the same for every sport, and each step is a place to stop. Nothing below needs a result to be right.
- Sign in on the domain you checked, and open the Sports or E-sports tab.
- Pick one fixture and one market, and read the market’s rules line.
- Convert the price into a payout with the odds page, in pesos, before you stake.
- Enter a stake that fits the limit you set earlier, and confirm once.
A bet cannot be taken back after you confirm it, so the checks happen before step four. Regulars do place a small first bet on a market they already understand and watch how it settles. New players often start with a combined bet because the headline return looks large, and lose it on a single leg.
Sabong is not part of this
The same phone menu has a Sabong entry. The nationwide suspension of e-sabong operations dates from 2022, and Executive Order No. 9 of 28 December 2022 directs that it continue.
This site offers no sabong route and no place to bet on one. The suspension is coordinated by PAGCOR, assisted by the DILG and the PNP.
What a good market page tells you
A market is worth betting only when its rules are on screen. Look for three things:
- The settlement time.
- What happens to a postponed or abandoned fixture.
- Whether a draw, overtime or a retirement changes the result.
If a market page prints none of these, ask support before you stake. Every guide above names the rule that matters most for its sport.
Money and limits
Fund a sports account only through the methods the cashier lists. Wallet apps dropped gaming in August 2025; check the GCash casino situation before you plan a wallet top-up. Decide a loss limit before the first bet, and treat the stake as money already spent.
How to Get Started
-
Check you are allowed to play
The minimum age is 21. Public officials, active AFP and PNP members and PAGCOR's restricted names cannot play either.
-
Learn the market before the sport
A winner bet, a handicap and a total are three different bets on one match. Pick the guide that matches the sport you follow.
-
Read the slip before confirming
The bet slip names the market, the odds and the stake. Check all three once, since a confirmed bet is not undone.
