Every amount bet adds to turnover; money moving between player and operator does not. Spread the same ₱100 over five spins and ₱500 of turnover results, since it was staked five separate times, however little the deposit was. House edge applies to it, wagering requirements are counted in it, and RTP is defined against it — almost every other money term on this list ends up saying something about turnover.

A worked example

Deposit ₱500, then play ten rounds of ₱50, and the turnover is ₱500 (ten lots of ₱50) while the deposit was also ₱500 — the match is coincidence, arising only because nothing was won back and put on again. Stake ₱50 of winnings a further ten times before the session closes and turnover arrives at ₱1,000, all of it off that one ₱500 deposit.

The common misreading

Confusion between turnover, total deposits and current balance is common. It is neither. Turnover many times the size of a deposit can come out of a small one that keeps being won back and replayed, while a large balance left alone produces none.

Neither net win, net loss nor deposit is what turnover records. Volume of staking is what it records, not where the money came from or how it ended up — break-even sessions can still generate a great deal of it.

Using it in practice

Any wagering requirement or house-edge figure should be read against turnover rather than against the deposit. The more a balance is recycled inside a session, the faster the two pull apart. Reading it beside the wagering requirement entry and what house edge means makes it stick, since the same pages usually raise all three together.

Turnover and terms like it appear throughout the game pages here, and where a studio has not published the figure behind one, those pages say as much rather than lifting a number off a comparison site. Blanks in several of the spec tables here follow from that.
